Ross Duncan
Learning Health Systems Data Analyst – Email
Ross joins BC AHSN in a new role as Learning Health Systems Data Analyst, to support the development and implementation of analytic and other technical research infrastructure. His role is shared with the BC Emergency Medicine Network, an example of a Learning Health System working to support and improve emergency care in BC. Ross has an academic background in economics, statistics, and health services research. He has worked previously as a researcher at the BC Cancer Research Centre and the Collaboration for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), and as a consultant for quality improvement initiatives at Alberta Health Services.
Dan Enjo
Communications Lead – Email
Dan Enjo is the Communications Lead of the overall BC AHSN organization, which includes heading the communications strategies of Clinical Trials BC, Research Ethics BC and BC SUPPORT Unit.
Dan brings expertise in non-profit and fundraising communications. A graduate of UBC and McGill University in English Literature, he gained career experience in the health care sector at the McGill Faculty of Medicine and the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation in the Montreal area, then at fundraising organizations such as the Decoda Literacy Foundation and the Rick Hansen Foundation in Vancouver. Currently, he builds, supports and maintains the identity, reputation and brand of all units at the BC Academic Health Science Network.
Sarah Hanif

Sarah Hanif has more than ten years of administrative experience across the healthcare and financial sector. In this position, she provides administrative and project support to Clinical Trials BC and Research Ethics BC. Sarah graduated from the University College of Birmingham, UK with a National Diploma in Sports and Holistic Therapies.
She has extensive experience with all administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence, website maintenance, organizing travel, submission of expense claims, as well as providing support on various projects.
Most recently, Sarah has been involved with the implementation and planning of the new Job Board launch for Clinical Trials BC, which is a new online platform to post and promote positions located in British Columbia across the clinical research and trials sector for stakeholders.
Deepa Singal
Post-Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Deepa Singal, as recipient of a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Post-Doctoral Fellowship, is collaborating with BC AHSN on a study called “Supporting a Learning Health System in British Columbia Through Developing the BC Academic Health Science Network.”
Deepa is also the recent recipient of a 2018 CIHR Rising Star Award for her work in Manitoba, developing and evaluating provincial strategies affecting the health of mothers and children. The results of her work can be seen in “Suicide and suicide attempts among women in the Manitoba Mothers and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.”

Tia has several years of accounting experience, primarily in the hospitality and security industries. She received her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Sauder School of Business at UBC and is currently working on obtaining her CPA designation.
